So far So Good. It has been such a great trip. This is the last week of our East Coast Tour, and we are headed to Philly. This is by far the biggest show we have done. We decided to go a day early and see some of the historical sights. Again another beautiful drive up the coast, including crossing the 27 mile chesapeake bay bridge. Wow. We were able to tour the liberty bell, and see where the constitution and declaration of Independence was signed. The weather was still good, but was really getting cold. I could not seem to get warm all day. We set up for the show that night, and the event was held in the Philly Convention Center. After a booth change, which turned out to be to our benefit, we were off and selling. It was Earl and I and the 3 girls. Never have I seen so many runners in one place. I was able to meet Bart Yasso, at the Runner’s World booth. He has been so inspiring to so many runners. It was great. The people were open and friendly. Some seemed to be in such a hurry, that it seemed that the marathon had started early! We headed back to the hotel after a great dinner at Olive Garden. It was then that we had our first experience with a terrible hotel. Everything on the walls seemed to be only for decoration. The tv, nor thermostat worked. The tub leaked, and we ended up laughing at 5 in the morning as we were all laying there in our underwear because it was so hot in the room. That made for a long day, but we ended up selling a lot of pockets, and it ended up being our most successful show. The people were great, and we made some great contacts. We LOVED PHILLY. We were sorry to hear the next morning that 2 runners had died. What a tragedy. It was a sad end to a great few weeks. Can’t wait to visit again! The airplane ride home was much better than the one coming out, and we were home again. We couldn’t have asked for a better showcase for the RooSport!
